Job summary
Aerotek is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the first shift in Garrett, IN. This role supports mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment in a metal fabrication and finishing facility. You will work with welders, conveyors, paint and powder coat lines, pumps, and PLCs to minimize downtime.
Expeced hours are first shift, with potential overtime. Compensation ranges from $62,400 to $70,720 per year, with benefits starting on day one and a strong safety culture
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing/fabrication.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with gears, bearings, motors, and other components.
- Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V three-phase.
- Ability to install conduit and perform basic electrical installations.
- Owns and uses personal tools for daily maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment including welders, conveyors, paint and powder coat lines, slitters and shears.
- Diagnose gears, bearings, motors and rotating components to maintain performance.
- Troubleshoot 480V three-phase electrical systems and restore safe operation.
- Install and run electrical conduit for equipment modifications and new installs.
- Replace, set up, and program VFDs to control motor speed and reliability.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and related components.
- Support PLC-related troubleshooting, particularly with Allen-Bradley systems.
- Document maintenance activities and parts usage for records.
