Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Albany, GA is hiring Maintenance Technicians for our corrugated facility. The role offers relocation incentives and involves 12-hour shifts in a 2-2-3 rotation, with overtime, holidays and weekends as needed.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, install and repair drives, read schematics, and uphold safety and quality standards while supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to preempt failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines.
• Contribute to production, waste and quality goals through maintenance programs.
• Work in loud, hot, humid, dusty environments; lift, climb, stand as needed.
