Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking Maintenance Technicians for our Corrugated facility in Albany, GA. This role offers relocation incentives and requires the ability to work any shift, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.

You will perform preventive maintenance on rotary machinery, troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical systems, and read schematics. The job involves 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation in a high-volume production environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
• Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
• Working in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy and high volume environment.
• Performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling.
