Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Maintenance Technicians for our Albany, GA corrugated facility. Starting at $28.71-$35.60 per hour with potential for increases based on skill and performance.

Flexible shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends included. Duties include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, reading schematics, and maintaining safety standards in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
• Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
