Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance and Tool Room Leader to drive safe, reliable operations by guiding the maintenance and tool room teams and by stewarding our facilities, equipment, and grounds.

You’ll oversee technicians performing installs, repairs, and preventive maintenance, conduct facility inspections, and lead regulatory stewardship, space planning, and project coordination. This hands-on leadership role requires strong planning, people management, and clear communication to keep

  • Experience leading maintenance and facilities teams in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for safety and project updates.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste disposal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee technicians performing equipment installs, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and enforce safety standards.
  • Develop and sustain a robust preventive maintenance program.
  • Coordinate space allocations, layout changes, and building services.
  • Lead project control activities including RFPs, contracts, and documentation.

Job description

Your MissionDrive safe, reliable operations by leading the maintenance and tool room teams and by stewarding our facilities, equipment, and grounds.What You’ll TackleTeam Leadership: Oversee technicians performing equipment installs, repairs, and preventive maintenance across the plant.Facility Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to verify the efficient use of space and the condition of building systems.Preventive Maintenance: Build, implement, and sustain a robust PM program.Regulatory Stewardship: Ensure correct hazardous waste disposal and serve as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.Project Control: Inspect construction and installation progress for strict conformance with specifications; create and coordinate program specs, RFPs, contracts, and related documentation.Space & Services: Coordinate building space allocations, layout changes, and communication services to support operations.Hands-On Help: Step in on facilities equipment repair and PM when needed.Leadership You’ll ProvideDirect reports in the Maintenance Department and Tool Room.Interview, hire, and train new team members.Plan work, assign tasks, and provide day-to-day direction.Evaluate performance, reward excellence, and issue discipline as appropriate.Address and resolve employee concerns promptly.How You’ll ExcelProject Management: Hit deadlines and budgets while communicating status and changes.People Management & Delegation: Set expectations, monitor progress, and grow team capability.Organization: Prioritize effectively and schedule people and tasks for smooth execution.Communication & Teamwork: Write and speak clearly; present data effectively; foster team spirit and shared goals.Problem Solving & Judgment: Diagnose issues, propose alternatives, and decide with sound reasoning.Innovation: Propose improvements and creative approaches to maintenance challenges.Ethics & Professionalism: Demonstrate integrity, respect, and accountability; uphold policies and a harassment-free environment.Quality & Safety: Promote accuracy, thoroughness, and safety; report and address unsafe conditions.Work Ethic: Be adaptable, dependable, punctual, and productive.Technical StrengthsPneumatics (including troubleshooting)HydraulicsElectrical/electronic systemsHigh-voltage systemsRigging and load handlingEquipment installation and wiringBlueprint interpretationBenefits & Details401(k)Medical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time offWork Location: In person
