Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities maintenance within manufacturing, heavy industrial, or construction settings.

Lead the heartbeat of our plantPicture your day beginning on the production floor: you review overnight CMMS work orders, walk the line with operators, and make a quick call—reroute a crew to a high‑priority repair on a high‑voltage panel so machines are ready for first shift. By mid‑morning, you’re aligning contractors for a structural improvement in the construction yard while coaching a tech on diagnosing a stubborn pneumatic fault. After lunch, you sync with engineering to tweak a process, then close the day by updating digital inventories and confirming tomorrow’s preventative maintenance on HVAC and fire detection systems.What you will leadPeople & ProjectsTeam communication: Keep technicians and operators continuously informed on company plans, shift targets, and policy updates.Performance management: Recognize top contributors for increases, awards, or promotions. Address underperformance by setting clear expectations, coaching correct methods, issuing warnings, and recommending discipline when required.Supervisory alignment: Meet regularly with your supervisor to surface operational issues, propose solutions, and align departmental goals.Contractor & project oversight: Direct a range of third‑party onsite contractors to safely execute major repairs and facility upgrades.Production Equipment SupportHeavy diagnostics: Troubleshoot and repair both automated and manual manufacturing machinery, including high‑voltage electrical systems.Specialized systems: Perform heavy‑duty maintenance and diagnostics on key assets such as industrial welding equipment and abrasive blasting equipment.Engineering collaboration: Partner with production and manufacturing engineers on process improvements and equipment infrastructure upgrades.Facilities & UtilitiesFacility systems: Keep commercial HVAC, electrical distribution, and site plumbing operating at peak efficiency.Safety infrastructure: Test, maintain, and rapidly repair fire suppression and fire detection systems, as well as mechanical devices throughout the site.Daily response: Balance emergency reactive calls with a disciplined preventive maintenance rhythm across all machines and infrastructure.Tools, Yard Assets & DataTool mastery: Expert use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical test instruments to pinpoint and resolve faults.Construction yard support: Assist with inspection, upkeep, and minor repair coordination of staging machinery and structural assets in the active construction yard.Digital inventory: Maintain maintenance logs, monitor spare parts, and record work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in alignment with ISO 9000 Quality System requirements.Minimum qualificationsExperience: 5+ years in facilities maintenance within manufacturing, heavy industrial, or construction settings.Leadership: Prior experience as a lead, crew leader, or foreman directing contractor workflows and team dynamics.Software: Proficient with PCs and Windows; strong database experience highly preferred.Soft skills: Exceptional multitasking, interpersonal, and organizational abilities suited to a fast‑paced fabrication floor.Language: Basic command of English, written and verbal, to read industrial blueprints and document safety logs.Physical demands: Able to work in non‑climate‑controlled areas, lift 60+ lbs, and work at heights or in confined spaces.Technical knowledge: Advanced expertise in 3‑phase electrical systems, motor controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics; able to read and interpret complex blueprints, industrial schematics, and equipment manuals.Working & environmental conditionsEnvironment: Safety‑sensitive role primarily in a temperature‑controlled manufacturing/industrial setting with occasional outdoor tasks.PPE: Willing and able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, hard hats, bump caps, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses, and respirators when needed.Heights & fall protection: Work from ladders (step, A‑frame, etc.) and elevated structures—typically no higher than 20 feet—using appropriate lift and Fall Protection Equipment.Agility: Maintain balance and agility while walking, standing, crouching, and moving via stairs and step ladders; bend at waist and knees; reach and extend arms/hands in any direction.Endurance & upper extremities: Continuous standing/walking; frequent use of upper extremities; work with arms above shoulders and fully extended as needed.Lifting & tools: Meet lifting demands up to 50 lbs; frequent use of hand and power tools.Vision & coordination: Excellent hand‑eye coordination; close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus.More informationThis description covers the essential functions of the role but is not an exhaustive list of duties, tasks, or responsibilities that may be assigned.
