Mural Group is partnered with a top industrial manufacturer in Charlotte to recruit a direct-placed Industrial Maintenance Lead Technician. You will be the backbone of the maintenance program, stepping in for the Maintenance Manager during absences and guiding a lean team through monitoring and improving heavy production equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on repair, preventive maintenance leadership, and strong root-cause analysis in a non-climate-controlled plant.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience with heavy production equipment.
• Ability to diagnose unfamiliar equipment without hand-holding.
• Welding and fabrication skills; electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.

Responsibilities

• Maintain industrial production machinery and pipeline systems, ensuring uptime.
• Develop, run, and own the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work inside electrical panels; trace faults and replace components.
• Lead in absences and assist the Maintenance Manager as needed.

Industrial Maintenance Lead Technician — Charlotte, NCMural Group is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer in Charlotte to hire a direct-placed maintenance leader. You will step in right beneath a 30-year maintenance veteran who knows every machine and is ready to pass that knowledge on. The maintenance team has been running lean—this role adds the depth they’ve been missing. You’ll back up the Maintenance Manager day to day, take the helm when he’s away, and become the backbone of a program that needs a steady hand. Earn the crew’s trust, and you’ll be the person they can’t do without.A Day in the LifeThis is real, heavy industrial work in a non-climate-controlled but well-ventilated plant. Expect warm conditions, real machines, and real breakdowns. The standard week is Monday–Friday, with Fridays dedicated to preventive maintenance. Sixty-hour weeks happen. Saturday PM days happen. Candidates with strong electrical depth and fabrication credentials can reach $40 to $45 per hour.
