Qualifications

What do you do?

Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the efficient repair and maintenance of the facility and facility equipment. Company standards for safety, security, and productivity must be met through the Maintenance Technician team. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations and ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our facilities. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to manage a team.

Duties Include:

• Provide direct daily supervision of technicians to achieve prescribed objectives and ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the repair of our facility.
• Provide a daily early morning review of work activities/personnel status and PM results to the Site Manager with updates for substantial issues (any event that might affect production or product quality) throughout the day.
• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
• Orders and ensures an optimal level of spare parts and equipment is kept in stock to minimize unscheduled operations downtime while minimizing the cost of inventory.
• Interview, select, train, and manage technicians.
• Make recommendations to the Site Manager on programs to improve warehouse operations.
• Supervise the parts and supplies ordering process.
• Assist in conducting physical inventories as required.
• Support audit compliance items in the Maintenance area
• Develop and implement a daily plan for allocating staff and parts to jobs.
• Ensure that equipment is utilized most efficiently.
• Evaluate housekeeping, security, and sanitation levels daily.
• Review maintenance operations daily to ensure the area is neat, secure, and well organized, and that damage to parts. Tools and equipment are protected.
• Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed and operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• 3-5 years of management experience with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, communication, and planning.
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge, welding, machining, metal fabrication, and plumbing.
• Frequently move, lift, and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs. and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
