Job summary

Terzo Enterprises is seeking a Maintenance Technician to set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment. You will work under general supervision on a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues from schematics, and performing repairs on conveyors, forklifts, and related machinery while maintaining logs and a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge, welding, machining, metal fabrication, and plumbing.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Must provide the necessary tools and instruments to independently perform tasks.
• Adhere to OSHA and MSDS standards, including LOTO procedures.
• Check for proper guarding of all machinery in departments daily.

• Under general supervision, set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install equipment from low DC voltage to 120v–480v AC high voltage circuits, motor controls, control logic, and minor programming on VFDs.
• Troubleshoot 3-phase motors and gearboxes. Understand sprockets and chains.
• Ensure safe operation of forklifts and yard hostlers.
• Provide necessary tools and instruments to perform tasks.
• Perform repairs on conveyors, inspect/replace belts, hoses, pipes; maintain warehouse power equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all machines and equipment.
• Maintain daily work log on repairs.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work area and maintenance cage.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Adhere to safety policies including LOTO procedures.

What will you do?

Under general supervision, set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install a range of equipment from low DC voltage to 120v – 480v AC high voltage circuits, motor controls, control logic, make minor program changes on VFDs, and troubleshoot by power wiring.
• Must be able to troubleshoot 3-phase motors and gearboxes. Understanding of sprockets and chains.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and ensure the safe operational status of all forklifts and yard hostlers.
• Must provide the necessary tools and instruments to independently perform tasks.
• Perform repairs on belt conveyors, roller conveyors, turn tables, and paint sprayers (airless and diaphragm pumps); inspect/replace belts, hoses, and pipes as needed and maintain other warehouse power equipment to ensure availability and safe operation.
• Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all machines and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain a daily work log on repairs for all equipment.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and overall cleanliness and organization of the maintenance cage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Understand levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause.
• Assist in the inspection and upkeep of machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety policies, including proper LOTO procedures.
• Check for proper guarding of all machinery in departments daily.
• Check for proper oil level and lubrication of all machines.
• Maintain all machinery and repair promptly; provide necessary tools and instruments to independently perform tasks.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards, ensuring maintenance staff do the same.
• Adhere to all safety policies, including proper LOTO procedures, ensuring maintenance staff do the same.

• The ability to work in a dusty, dirty, and non-air-conditioned environment

• Willing to work overtime as needed

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge, welding, machining, metal fabrication, and plumbing
• Frequently move, lift, and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs. and may occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
