Job summary

Caliberr Staffing is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Specialist to maximize equipment uptime on high-speed production lines. You will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform advanced troubleshooting, and implement long-term solutions to reduce recurring outages.

You will maintain conveyors, fillers, packaging systems, chillers, and air compressors, interpret schematics, and document work orders while providing guidance to operations teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in industrial maintenance or a similar technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Own a personal set of basic hand tools.
• Experience with conveyors, fillers, packaging systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced troubleshooting and repairs on production machinery, including conveyors, fillers, and packaging systems.
• Maintain industrial control systems and auxiliary equipment such as chillers and air compressors to ensure facility reliability.
• Interpret complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to diagnose and resolve mechanical failures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement long-term solutions for recurring equipment malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication tasks to extend the lifespan of critical assets.
• Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders to maintain accurate service records.
• Support production operations by providing technical guidance and assisting with machine adjustments as needed.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar technical field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using shop tools like mills, lathes, and precision measuring equipment.
• Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical solutions effectively to team members.
• Must possess a personal set of basic hand tools.

Preferred Skills

• 6+ years of experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, or plastics processing environments.
• Advanced knowledge of VFDs, servo motors, PLC systems, and industrial communication protocols.
• Skilled in fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and metal cutting.
• Experience with electrical systems up to 480VAC and 24VDC.
• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with specific high-speed equipment such as Krones, Sidel, or Husky systems.
