Job summary

Cabinetworks Group in Orwell, OH seeks a Maintenance Department Lead to oversee daily operations, supervise technicians, and drive reliability and safety across equipment and facilities. You will coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to maximize uptime.

The role requires strong leadership, PLC/ troubleshooting knowledge, and a commitment to lean practices, including 6S and CMMS usage for work orders

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance.
High school diploma with 5–7 years in manufacturing maintenance.
Strong technical and leadership abilities to direct teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and teamwork.
PLC programming/troubleshooting knowledge is beneficial.
LOTO concepts and safe operation procedures understood.
Ability to learn additional internal software applications.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Supervise maintenance technicians and cleaners to ensure reliability and safety.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with production and engineering.
Plan and supervise plant maintenance, including electrical, mechanical systems.
Interpret piping diagrams, equipment drawings, and electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
Work with Maintenance Manager, Planner, and Plant Engineer to maximize uptime.
Ensure repairs comply with OSHA/EPA regulations and safety standards.
Document efficiency opportunities across the facility with supervisors.
Lead and coach Maintenance staff toward continuous improvement.
Assign tasks via the CMMS and monitor progress.
Minimize downtime and ensure safe operation of equipment.
Maintain 6S, visual management, and standardized maintenance areas.
Become proficient in Limble CMMS work orders and reports.
Participate in continuous improvement and 6S activities.
Maintain time and attendance records for direct reports in Kronos.
