Job summary

Prysmian Group in Rhode Island is seeking a hands-on Mechanic Technician to maintain and repair a wide range of plant equipment and systems. You’ll work a Monday–Friday evening shift from 3pm to 11pm, performing preventive maintenance and repairs to motors, pumps, boilers, cranes, and transmission components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Competency in hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading and electrical basics.
• Experience with welding, test equipment and shop safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain plant equipment including motors, pumps, boilers, air compressors, emergency systems, power generation, chillers, cranes and power transmission systems.
• Perform welding, masonry, carpentry, minor machining and plumbing duties.
• Use test equipment and adjust operating conditions across mechanical systems.
• Check gear mesh and alignment of machinery using established methods.
• Maintain parts inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
• Maintain an orderly and safe work area and comply with EHS rules.
