Job summary

Prysmian Group, located in Willimantic, CT, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Machinist to fabricate, modify and troubleshoot equipment on the 1st shift (Mon–Fri 8:00 am–4:00 pm). The role requires hands-on fabrication, reading schematics, and maintaining tight tolerances under supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in reading schematics, prints and specifications.
• Experience with machining, welding, heat treatment and repairing machine shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and modify parts per instructions and drawings.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment problems, assemble/disassemble, level and align machinery.
• Operate tools and machines to tight tolerances (0.0005).
• Supervise or guide other craftspeople in material preparation.
