Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve equipment used in plastics and metals operations. The role requires following safety rules, maintaining housekeeping, and supporting production shifts to minimize downtime.

Primary duties include preventative and reactive maintenance, machine teardown/assembly, and collaboration with operators to meet the daily production schedule. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills; electrical skills a plus.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative maintenance per schedule to minimize downtime.
• Perform reactive maintenance on production lines and repair mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Disassemble/assemble machines and repair as needed.
• Collaborate with operators to meet daily production schedule.
• Operate forklift safely.
• Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.
