Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems supporting Covanta’s industrial disposal process.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance per schedule, root-cause analysis of breakdowns, prioritizing work to minimize downtime, using the CMMS to manage work orders, and inspecting machinery for safety and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Use root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages with cross-functional teams.
• Prioritize work to minimize downtime and ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment.
• Use the maintenance documentation program to open/close work orders, check out parts, and related activities.
• Inspect machinery/equipment for conformance with safety and performance standards.
• Observe and evaluate operating equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Review maintenance reports to plan and modify activities.
