Job summary

Amcor in Allentown, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for general maintenance and preventive/predictive maintenance on blowmold and injection equipment and support systems. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.

The role requires reading electrical and hydraulic schematics, installing PLC components, motors, relays, and control circuits, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; mold technician training preferred.
• Experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment or Mold Technician training.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Capability to read hydraulic schematics and troubleshoot hydraulic circuits.
• Ability to perform electrical, hydraulic and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on blowmold, injection and support equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Read schematics and identify control circuit symbols; install motors, relays and PLC components.
• Repair, upgrade or adjust equipment as needed to maintain safe operation.
• Follow Amcor safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Work with Maintenance Manager to ensure smooth production flow.
