Job summary

ZACHRY is currently seeking an experienced Mechanic for new construction work at our DUKE Marshall project in Terrell, NC. The role involves maintaining, servicing, installing, repairing and inspecting machinery, heavy equipment and electrical systems in industrial settings to keep them in good working order.

Qualifications emphasize industrial maintenance history, tool proficiency, and reliability; 4–5 years maintenance experience and journeyman tools; willingness to work 7 days as needed.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance history experience preferred.
• Experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
• Must have all Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic tools.
• Minimum 4-5 years industrial maintenance experience; 3 years Maintenance Mechanic.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed.

Responsibilities

• Detects minor to major problems with machines and equipment.
• Disassembles, repairs and/or replaces equipment parts.
• Performs tests to ensure machinery runs smoothly.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment including engines and dozers.
• Cleans, lubricates and greases machinery and equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostic tests and checks performance.
• Assists in unloading equipment, inspections and documentation.
• Follows directions from supervisor and other duties as assigned.
