Job summary

Zachry Group in Roxboro, NC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to service industrial machinery and systems. The role requires reading blueprints and manuals, performing preventative maintenance, and using a range of hand and power tools.

You will work with engines, motors, conveyors and related equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of industrial maintenance experience and at least 3 years as a Maintenance Mechanic, with strong problem solving

Qualifications

Experience with equipment maintenance.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and engineering specifications.
Ability to interpret technical manuals to determine work procedures.
Experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
Possess all Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic hand tools.
4–5 years industrial maintenance experience.
3 years Maintenance Mechanic experience.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed.

Responsibilities

Detects problems with machines and equipment and determines needed repairs.
Disassembles, repairs and/or replaces parts to equipment.
Performs tests to ensure machinery runs smoothly.
Completes preventative maintenance on machinery and services mechanical equipment.
Cleans and lubricates machinery.
Performs basic diagnostic tests and checks performance of machinery.
May use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional changes.
Operates lathes, grinders and files.
Unloads, inspects and moves equipment using cranes, hoists, dollies.
