Job summary

General Mills Buffalo plant is seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, repair, and improve milling equipment across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The role requires reading schematics, welding and fabrication, and strong mechanical aptitude.

You will support uptime, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The position offers starting pay of $33.88/hour with additional premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts, up to 120 hours of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace milling machinery and equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues; provide technical support.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Execute uptime and downtime preventative maintenance.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain maintenance shop and 5S standards.
• Assist other plant areas as assigned.
