Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Pennsylvania facility. The successful candidate will maintain and repair equipment, tools and machinery as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic, ensuring uptime and safety across production lines.

Responsibilities include performing repairs, wiring and electrical tasks, welding, piping, and assisting with installation of new plant equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, distribution, or shop environment.
• Ability to read basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams and diagnose 115 VAC control circuitry.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems.
• Welding and oxy/fuel cutting experience required.
• Basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge preferred.
• Effective reading, writing and communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery; dismantle parts to repair or replace components.
• Operate shop tools and equipment related to maintenance.
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and some installation work.
• Repair power industrial equipment and assist in rebuilding related equipment.
• Assist in installing new plant equipment.
• Maintain production equipment and optimize uptime for safe, timely manufacturing of coatings.
• Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operation and safety.
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs; help with related tasks.
