Job summary

Zachry Group in Roxboro, NC, seeks a Helper Millwright to support the installation, alignment, and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment.

You will assist with assembly, dismantling, and alignment of complex machines, perform lubrication and basic repairs, and work with cranes and rigging under supervisor guidance. Requires physical stamina and valid tools list. On-site, full-time role including potential 7-day shifts.

Qualifications

Must have 2+ years of experience as Helper Millwright.
Must be able to meet all physical demands.
Must have experience using industrial hand tools and power tools
Must have tools – list will be provided
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed

Responsibilities

Operate and assist with precision machines (mills, turbines, conveyors, pumps).
Use leveling/alignment tools to measure angles and distances with calipers, squares, micrometers.
Assist with fitting bearings, aligning gears and attaching motors per drawings.
Dismantle machines using hand tools.
Assemble/install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, tram rails.
Assemble machines using bolts, welds, rivets to foundations.
Operate lathes, grinders, files.
Assist with foundation construction for machinery.
Fabricate/install parts by measuring, cutting, drilling, welding.
Assist with alignments and turning parts to spec.
Assist with unloading/moving equipment using cranes/hoists.
Use rigging to move equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance (lubrication, worn parts).
Follow supervisor directions.
