Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Arlington, Texas, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support our manufacturing goals. Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work without sponsorship.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment
• Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts
• Order and install replacement parts for machines
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted
• Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
• Maintain documentation as required
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
• Maintain technical knowledge through training
