Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic at our Gilroy, CA plant. You will perform equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep, ensuring safe, efficient repairs and return to service.

You will work with conveyors, corrugators, boilers, and air compressors while coordinating with leadership and completing work orders. The role requires 2+ years of troubleshooting with strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge, and willingness to work 2nd/3rd shifts and

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair conveyors, corrugators, boilers, and air compressors.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulics, and industrial systems.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record of safety, attendance, and quality workmanship.
• Experience in corrugated manufacturing is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, and pneumatics.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to cross-train in additional technical areas.
• Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, call-ins, holidays, and frequent overtime.
• Comfortable using computer systems for work orders, inventory, and maintenance processes.
• Must provide personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production supervisors to complete safe and effective equipment repairs.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, corrugators, boilers, air compressors, and other plant equipment.
• Complete repairs and facility modifications through the work order system.
• Support reactive maintenance needs and adapt to shifting priorities and preventive maintenance requirements.
• Accurately complete all assigned paperwork and coordinate with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure proper documentation.
• Support additional maintenance tasks as assigned.
