Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Corp. seeks self-motivated Maintenance Mechanics for the Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to maximize uptime and reliability on a 12-hour rotating shift including days, nights, weekends and holidays. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of mechanical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience with lubrication, print reading, rigging, precision measurement, and precision alignment.
• Experience using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility safety policies and regulations.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment for uptime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on drives, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Identify root causes and eliminate failures.
• Cross-train and assist in maintenance and ops.
• Coordinate with ops/maintenance to prioritize needs.
• Follow instructions to complete tasks.
• Learn and use the CMMS to plan and schedule work.
