Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Brunswick mill is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to enhance machinery reliability across the site. You will troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, installing and aligning new components to maximize uptime.

This role operates 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with overtime and potential transition to a rotating 12-hour schedule plus shift differentials; active participation in safety drills and ERT readiness is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of millwright experience in an industrial environment.
• 2+ years mechanical maintenance experience (millwright, pipe fitting, welding).
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery.
• Install and align new equipment.
• Perform periodic maintenance routines including lubrication for reliability and uptime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs including labor hours and PM findings.
• Work with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Help meet or exceed production and quality goals while optimizing equipment to reduce waste.
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines and participate in safety programs.
