Job Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing/bottling facility to maintain, fix, and improve equipment used in bottling and packaging operations.

Factory Location: McBee, SC
Compensation: $35.70 / hour
Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked
Schedule: 10-hour shifts Tuesday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, Day Shift
Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs
Must be able to attend training on day shift for approximately three weeks.

Skills Required:

1. Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment.
2. Perform maintenance tasks including repairs and improvements, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls on all equipment.
3. Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and assist in reduction projects.
4. Participate in preventative maintenance programs to help reduce operational costs through PM optimization.
5. Dismantle, clean, repair, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical components to determine component-level failure.
6. Communicate, coach, and train employees to improve team’s ability to prevent loss of production and respond safely to equipment failures.
7. Maintain preventative maintenance logs and accurate records of all testing and repairs.
8. Recommend equipment for inclusion in preventive maintenance programs.
9. Perform preventative maintenance to identify potential mechanical and electrical issues throughout the plant.
10. Rebuild worn-out, but reusable, equipment parts such as gearboxes for scheduled PMs.
11. Troubleshoot, investigate, and repair all mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
12. Eliminate recurring machine failures using Breakdown Analysis.
13. Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and vendors as necessary.
14. Focus areas include Production support, Mechanical Room, Water Processing, Boiler Room, and Wastewater Treatment Water Chemical Treatment Program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
• Three or more years of proven maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Must complete Mechanical Aptitude Test prior to consideration.
• Experience with high- and low-pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, boilers preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of pneumatics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing preferred.
• Knowledge of bottling equipment, PM programs, and SAP system preferred.
• Electrical knowledge of single and three-phase power, with ability to diagnose and replace motors.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Effective communication skills with operators, technicians, and supervisors.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and OEM prints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer skills.
• Available for call-ins and supporting shifts as needed.
