INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC JOB GASTON, SC

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our CA - Columbia site’s maintenance team based in Gaston, SC. The ideal candidate possesses a safety mindset and demonstrates high self-driven ownership and accountability over their duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on polymer production equipment, including gear boxes, gear pumps, rotary air locks, polymer cutters, bagging machines, conveyor systems, heat exchangers, etc., following diagrams, manuals, and specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and housekeeping rules to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, rigging, and hand/power tools.
• Utilize planning and scheduling models to conserve resources and accomplish maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and proactive needs to ensure team continuity.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports in SAP, analyzing data to optimize equipment reliability.

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience or an Associate’s Degree/Certification in Industrial Maintenance.
• Experience with polymer process mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, interpersonal, safety, and computer skills.
