Requirements

- Versatility: Every day is different, and every customer is unique. If you do not like routine, then this position is perfect for you. Our Maintenance/Mechanical team tackles an extensive variety of tasks for our customers, including:
- New machinery installations
- Existing equipment repair, replacement, and troubleshooting
- Preventative Maintenance
Precision alignment of industrial machinery working hand-in-hand with our skilled Metrology & Optical Inspection teams
Attention to Detail: OASIS sets the standard in what we do, not simply because we have some of the best precision measurement instrumentation and quality mechanical tooling at our grasp, but because our entire group takes pride in providing our customers with professional and quality workmanship - from job preparation through project completion to post-job follow-up.
Can-Do Attitude: Customers look to OASIS to help solve difficult critical-path tasks or issues. Rarely does a project come along, or an issue encountered at a jobsite, that OASIS can't resolve. Our ability to adapt on-the-fly and to make things happen, is what sets us apart.
People Skills: You will find yourself in constant communication with your team, and often with our clients. This is a customer service business, so the ability to communicate clearly with both parties is essential in ensuring projects are completed safely and to the customer's expectations.
Self-Starter: While OASIS is on-site, clients are accustomed to us tackling the tasks/projects at hand without much involvement from them. Having the desire and ability to move onto the next task or help others complete their tasks is essential in creating a highly effective and efficient team.
Travel Willingness: Most of our Northeast Region customer base resides 3 to 8 hours from our Rochester, NH office; requiring multiple overnight stays within any given week. Generally, one can expect 2-3 overnights most weeks, with the potential for weeklong projects.
Desired Skills
- Mechanical Aptitude: Familiarity with various mechanical and power tooling, rigging equipment, hydraulic lifting jacks. Welding capabilities, use of cutting torches or plasma cutters, and machining are a plus.
- Computer Skills: Ability to navigate various computer programs for expense reporting, scheduling, and timekeeping. Training will be provided.
- Customer/Vendor Interactions: Experience in customer interactions to meet expectations and adapt to changing needs on-site.
- Organization & Housekeeping: Maintaining organized workspaces and a clean work environment to ensure safety and professionalism.
- Additional Qualifications: Medical Card or CDL License, forklift certification, OSHA 10 or 30 certifications.
