Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Technicians repair, program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust equipment and machines to provide optimal performance.

Required Duties/Activities

1. Perform preventive maintenance checks during the week, including temperature checks and visual inspections.
2. Ensure optimum operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and processing machinery.
3. Document inspection findings and schedule work accordingly.
4. Order parts, maintain the parts room, and create rebuild parts lists.
5. Know the types of motors, belts, etc., needed for equipment efficiency.
6. Prepare all PPE, locks, and parts before maintenance.
7. Tag or store removed parts for repair or reinstallation.
8. Adjust process equipment and support systems using hand tools, levels, lasers, etc.
9. Control downtime by informing production of routine maintenance and monitoring compliance.
10. Fabricate and repair parts using machine shop, welding, and instrumentation equipment.
11. Read measuring instruments and understand fine measurements.
12. Provide maintenance information and support to team members.
13. Maintain safety and cleanliness, document actions, and ensure operational checks post-maintenance.

Education/Experience Requirements

1. Three years of maintenance experience preferred; poultry industry experience highly desirable.
2. Associate's degree and certifications considered.
3. Ability to use manuals and measuring instruments, troubleshoot, and read drawings.
4. Physical ability to lift 40-60 lbs, stand long periods, and work in extreme environments.
