Job summary

Aerotek in Ionia, MI is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Manager for a contract-to-hire role. You will lead and develop the maintenance team, oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, and coordinate downtime, installations, and contractor work to minimize production interruptions.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and equipment reliability. Onsite position with competitive pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with leadership preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and develop the maintenance team.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Prioritize work orders, equipment repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate equipment downtime, installations, and outside contractors.
• Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and departmental resources.
• Partner with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure safety procedures, including OSHA and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Track downtime and recurring equipment issues and drive corrective actions.
