Job summary

Legend Manufacturing Inc in Alma, MI is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot production issues and perform preventative maintenance on equipment including air compressors, rolling stock, and HVAC. You will follow safety rules and wear PPE while coordinating with the purchasing department.

The role requires maintaining a clean, safe work area and the ability to work 40–60 hours weekly, including alternating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Use various power and hand tools; experience preferred.
• Read and use a tape measure.
• Willingness to cross-train between departments.
• Read and follow work instructions.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen; good attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide preventative maintenance to equipment.
• Follow health and safety rules and wear personal protective equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (Air Compressor, Rolling Stock, Production Machinery, HVAC).
• Troubleshoot machinery using schematics and perform timely repairs on hand tools.
• Communicate needs with purchasing department proactively.
• Repair/rebuild welding leads and store tools and materials properly.
• Work during production when needed and observe Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
