Job summary

Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance technician with leadership responsibilities to diagnose, repair, and maintain milling equipment, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems. The role requires reading schematics and coordinating with engineers and production staff to ensure safety and optimal performance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 4+ years maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment, including lead-worker responsibilities.
Experience in a sugar mill or processing facility preferred; bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
Ability to read manuals, blueprints, schematics and diagrams; diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to keep equipment running.
Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication of pumps, conveyors and electric motors.
Install, calibrate replacement parts and maintain accurate service records.
Lead and train lower-level staff to meet maintenance goals while following safety guidelines.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
