U.S. Sugar is seeking a skilled maintenance/machining technician to fabricate, install, inspect, and repair cane processing equipment.

The role includes preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and detailed record-keeping within a high-tech automated environment at our Clewiston facility. Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will work day shifts with occasional overtime, including nights and weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Must read, write and speak English to understand instructions and ensure safety.
• Three years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out work.
• Must become crane certified within 90 days of hire.
• Basic knowledge of machinist tools, metals, and their properties.
• Must pass drug test and pre-employment background screening.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.

Aufgaben

• Abide by all Company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Complete safety trainings, pre-shift meetings and certifications.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities (CMMS).
• Perform routine safety checks on equipment and keep records.
• Perform or assist in maintenance and repairs throughout the Mill.
• Calculate dimensions using micrometers or vernier calipers.
• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, mills, shapers or grinders.
• Set up or operate machine tools for precision machining.
• Measure and test components to ensure conformance to specs.
• Monitor machine feeds and speeds; maintain tools and equipment.
• Study parts and drawings to determine methods and sequences.
