Job summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a Maintenance Helper to perform repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment in a hospital linen environment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems with urgency while performing plumbing, carpentry, welding, or electrical tasks when required.

The role involves reading blueprints, using a 250 amp welding device, and working in a lint-heavy plant with exposure to heat.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of laundry/boiler room equipment and assemblies.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with urgency.
• Basic reading of blueprints and schematics for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Repair, adjust, overhaul, and maintain laundry and boiler room equipment.
• Diagnose faults using mechanical/electrical knowledge and test procedures.
• Dismantle, replace parts, align and install drives and machinery safely.
• Complete morning startup procedures and maintain logs/work orders.
