Job summary

Silvi Materials is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Foreman for the 2nd shift in Belle Mead, NJ. The role leads a crew of 3–4 mechanics, plans preventive maintenance, and handles major equipment such as rock crushers and conveyors. Strong welding and hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge are required.

The position offers industry-leading benefits and opportunities for on-the-job training and tuition reimbursement, with a 2:00 pm start time and a pay range of $42.21–$49.28 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar, with quarry equipment.
• Welding experience (MIG, stick, overhead) required.
• Must have valid driver''s license.
• Technical school education in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans preventative maintenance, plant projects, and scheduled shutdowns with the maintenance manager.
• Leads/schedules a crew of 3-4 mechanics for daily plant maintenance.
• Responsible for getting parts list to manager to keep progress on all projects/maintenance.
• Performs skilled maintenance on rock quarry equipment such as but not limited to the rock crusher, conveyor belts, electrical panels and similar equipment.
• Inspects and determines the nature of difficulties and malfunctions and takes necessary action to restore equipment to good operating order.
• Evaluates equipment failures for root cause, communicates findings, makes suggestions for equipment improvements, and is able to install modifications as directed.
• Performs daily rounds checklist on operating equipment, observing the machine in operation and listening to sounds to detect unusual operation.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and procedures, recording all pertinent information.
• Assist with maintenance and repairs on compressors, generators, fans and motors, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, blowers, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and maintenance equipment.
• Lubricating, cleaning, and servicing equipment.
• Keeps the work area clean and safe.
• Obtains, stores, records, safeguards and properly uses equipment, materials and supplies.
• Completes work assignments in the allotted time frame.
