Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a 2nd shift in Oklahoma City, OK. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems across a busy industrial facility to ensure safe and efficient operation.

You will inspect, maintain, and repair motors, gearboxes, and other critical components, while responding promptly to breakdowns and supporting continuous production. Candidates should have strong hands-on skills and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
• Hands-on experience with motors, gearboxes and related components.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Familiarity with safety procedures including lockout/tagout.
• Ability to safely use electrical test equipment and handheld tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to restore operations safely.
• Inspect, maintain, and replace motors, gearboxes, and related components.
• Use electrical test equipment and hand tools to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting.
• Support maintenance activities including component replacement and calibration.
• Apply preventive maintenance best practices to identify potential failures.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures when working on systems.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize work.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately for future reference.
