Job summary

The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, electrical repairs, and system inspections to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting motors, PLCs, conveyors, and control panels; installing wiring and electrical components; reading blueprints and manuals; and

Qualifications

• Must have strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operation and appearance of machinery, equipment and facilities by performing preventative maintenance, inspections, setups, repairs and upgrades according to diagrams, manuals and instructions.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in motors, control panels, PLCs, conveyors, and machinery.
• Install wiring, lighting, breakers, transformers and electrical components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Test electrical systems and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Maintain maintenance logs, repair records and work orders.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers and production staff.
• Operate forklift and use machine shop tools when fabricating parts.
