Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to maintain manufacturing machinery and facility systems. The role repairs automated controls, electrical and mechanical systems, and supports building and grounds maintenance.

You will troubleshoot drive-related controller issues and implement preventive actions to minimize downtime. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, ability to read schematics/blueprints, and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with Industrial Machinery preferred.
• Three (3) plus years of experience in Maintenance is preferred.
• Controls experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Comprehension of schematics/blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Makes major electrical, mechanical, and construction repairs and installations involving schematics/blueprints.
• Troubleshoots drive-related issues for Fanuc, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and other controllers.
• Monitors and troubleshoots machine programs to understand equipment faults.
• Determines root causes and recommends preventive actions.
• Communicates status through work order system comments/history.
• Carries out preventative maintenance procedures.
• Communicates with internal customers about equipment status.
• Advises supervisor on needs for outside services and coordinates with vendors.
