Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking an experienced electrical/instrumentation technician to support continuous plant operations in a demanding mineral processing environment. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and control systems, including Allen-Bradley equipment, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires 5–7 years of electrical experience, a relevant apprenticeship or credential, and familiarity with PLCs, switchgear, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years electrical experience including industrial or mining settings.
• Completion of an apprenticeship, technical program, or equivalent experience.
• Prior PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and instrumentation inspections to ensure plant equipment operates within quality standards.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild plant equipment (Allen Bradley) to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Maintain and troubleshoot control loops, PLCs, and motor control circuits.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document findings; participate in work order process.
• Test, calibrate, and maintain sensors, meters, and instrumentation devices.
• Operate and maintain electrical test equipment and tooling.
