Job summary

UPS is hiring Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics to maintain a high-volume package handling facility. The role involves a fast-paced environment, routine interaction with hub staff, and a start time of 3:30 a.m., Tuesday through Saturday, in a 24x7 operation.

The candidate must have a strong electrical background, pass an electrical assessment, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and related equipment. Includes comprehensive benefits and weekly pay upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must have strong electrical background and be able to pass electrical assessment.
• Ideal candidate will troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC/DC electrical equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC/DC electrical equipment (batteries, relays, drives, sensors).
• Inspect and repair mechanical components (motors, conveyors, bearings, pulleys).
• Inspect and repair pneumatic equipment (diverters, hoses).
• Inspect and repair hydraulic equipment (hoses, cylinders).
• Weld equipment and structures as needed per scope of work.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on conveyors and power equipment.
