Job summary

UPS is seeking a Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience. The role supports a fast-paced, 24x7 package handling facility, requiring availability for 1st–3rd shifts and the ability to pass an electrical assessment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding work on steel structures.

Qualifications

• U.S. work authorization required.
• Strong electrical background with ability to pass an electrical assessment.
• Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24x7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC/DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo drives, encoders.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, or replace mechanical components like motors, belts, pulleys, rollers, bearings, conveyors.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace pneumatic equipment such as diverters and hoses.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace hydraulic equipment including hoses, cylinders, and pumps.
• Weld handrails, conveyor supports, and equipment as defined by scope of work; perform preventive maintenance inspections.
