Job summary

WestRock Company in Houston, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician. This role will diagnose, repair, recondition, overhaul and maintain company heavy equipment and plant facilities to keep production running smoothly.

You will perform diversified duties including installing and maintaining machines, reading schematics and PLC programs, and handling electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must provide own tools for maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, reconditioning, overhaul and maintain heavy equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform emergency/unplanned repairs during production and scheduled maintenance repairs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics and PLC programs.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming and drive troubleshooting.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment and follow company policies.
