SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:- Perform all duties and responsibilities within the guidelines of the Gage Products Company’s Vision, Mission, Quality Policy and Environmental Management Statements.
- Duties and responsibilities are guided by well-defined, repeatable processes that are the key to meeting customer expectations and must be followed or changed as defined in GPS guidelines.

- Understand both the Communication Procedure and the Emergency Preparedness and Response Procedure.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for performing electrical preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair of facility, production and ground electrical equipment including emergency repairs
- Estimate, install, repair and maintain building/production electrical infrastructure & interface with suppliers on any related electrical issues
- Ensure projects are completed timely, correctly, safely, on budget and to the highest quality current code/standards
- Participate in capital project planning and implementation
- Support and work directly with electrical contractors on capital projects
- Write hot work, confined space, lockout/tagout and line breaking permits as needed
- Conduct housekeeping activities and Lean Manufacturing practices to ensure an efficient, organized workshop and office area
- Provide training and mentorship for new FSG members as needed
- Other duties as assigned in conjunction with colleagues/manager
QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, knowledge, experience):- Must hold a Journeyman Electrician License in the State of MI
- 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, chemical industry preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical requirements for intrinsically safe environments (Class I, Div. I, Group C&D)
- Demonstrated experience with electrical tools and equipment, installation, testing of electrical systems including blueprints and schematics
- Strong knowledge in PLC, ladder logic, AB, MicroLogix, other families of processors
- Strong mechanical/technical background troubleshooting/repairing electrical equipment
- High level of proficiency and demonstrated field experience with commercial/residential codes
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required, including basic math skills
- Strong work ethic and attendance record, being available on call may be required
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic computer skills, experience with computerized maintenance management systems preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Able to withstand extreme weather both hot and cold
- Able to go on top of tanks via a crane so cannot have a fear of heights
- Cannot be color blind
