Summary

The role of a Mechanic is to ensure all machines and equipment are functioning properly and safely. Preventative maintenance is key to minimize downtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all machinery and equipment are operational and safe.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment issues.
• Build gearboxes.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding parts.
• Minimize machine downtime through preventative maintenance.
• Order necessary parts for equipment operation, if needed.

Qualifications

• Problem-solving skills and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work with others, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively.
• Strong reading and writing skills, focus, and work ethic.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience with high-tech machinery.

• Military experience recognized in lieu of formal education/experience.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Standing for 8+ hours daily.

Mathematical Skills

• Basic math skills; ability to use measuring tools like tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.
