Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to prioritize, work independently, and maintain close attention to detail.
• Ability to read/use precision measuring tools such as micrometers.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer literacy.
• Strong English skills in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work overtime and function well in a team environment.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance from instructions, schematics, manuals and work orders.
• Select materials properly and set up machine shop operations.
• Proficient in welding techniques pertinent to machinist work and directing others in preparation of materials.
• Handle heat treatment processes including annealing, tempering, case hardening, and quenching.
• Repair machine shop equipment and manufacture parts within tolerance.
