Job summary

Caliberr Staffing seeks an Industrial Machinery Technician to maximize uptime on high-speed production lines. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fluid power problems and perform preventative maintenance to keep production targets met.

You will collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, install and test components, maintain accurate service records, and support facility infrastructure like chillers and compressors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years in industrial maintenance or manufacturing.
  • Able to read electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
  • Proficient with mills, lathes, and precision measuring tools.
  • Able to communicate technical solutions to diverse teams.
  • Basic MS Office skills; own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Execute repairs on fillers, labelers, palletizers, and high-speed conveyors.
  • Maintain and calibrate control systems, servo drives, and VFDs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for long-term fixes of recurring failures.
  • Document maintenance activities and work orders for records.
  • Support facility infrastructure including chillers and compressors.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.

As an Industrial Machinery Technician, you will play a vital role in maximizing operational efficiency by performing expert-level troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on high-speed production lines. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, which directly impacts our ability to meet production targets and maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Execute repairs on critical production systems, including fillers, labelers, palletizers, and high-speed conveyors.
  • Maintain and calibrate industrial control systems, servo drives, and variable frequency drives to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement long-term solutions for recurring equipment failures.
  • Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders to maintain accurate service records.
  • Support facility infrastructure, including chillers, air compressors, and water filtration systems.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment to foster a secure work environment.
Qualifications
Required Skills
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Strong technical aptitude with shop tools, including mills, lathes, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to diverse team members.
  • Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must possess a personal set of basic hand tools.
Preferred Skills
  • Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in high-speed bottling, packaging, or plastics manufacturing.
  • Advanced knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, communication buses, and servo motor systems.
  • Proven experience with major equipment brands such as Krones, Sidel, or Husky.
  • Skilled in fabrication techniques, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
  • Experience managing technical projects or providing mentorship to junior staff.
