General Motors Company is seeking qualified Mechanical Journeypersons (Machine Repair) in Michigan. You will perform maintenance, repair and fabrication on heavy equipment, read blueprints, and work with robotics and automation in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

The role requires six years in a mechanical trade or a U.S. DOL certificate, eligibility to work in the U.S., and willingness to work flexible shifts with overtime.

Formación

• Six+ years in a mechanical trade or a U.S. DOL certificate in a mechanical trade (millwright, pipefitter, toolmaker, machine repair).
• Eligible to work in the United States and able to pass background checks.
• Willing to work flexible shift hours including overtime, days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Follow OSHA safety procedures and company procedures.
• Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints for conveyors, material handling, robots, and automation.
• Operate mobile equipment (forklifts, lifts, cranes).
• Set up CNC machines to cut, bore, or finish parts to spec.
• Verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
