Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous set-up and adjusting experience in a manufacturing production environment is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical skills: setup, repairing and running machinery with precision moving parts.
• Able to read a pair of micrometers.
• Mathematical skills: converting measurements between standard, metric, and fractions.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Set up multiple machines for operation.
• Maintain and repair machines including disassembly and re-assembly, inspection, preventative maintenance, and detection of damage.
• Make necessary adjustments, inspect product, machine speed, minimize down time.
• Work with production team to meet production and quality goals.
• Assist Machine Operator in maintaining quality control and production requirements.
• Communicate potential issues to shift supervisor or machine operators impacting quality or safety.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment as needed.
• Keep the work area neat and orderly.
• Identify, correct, or report safety hazards in the facility.
• Ensure machine guards are in place prior to operating machinery.
