Job summary

Kinross is seeking an IT Specialist to provide hands-on, customer-focused technology support across Windows environments, Nutanix virtualization, and industrial networks. You will partner with OT and plant teams to maintain site infrastructure and resilient systems.

The role covers first- to second-line support, training end users, and maintaining runbooks and network diagrams. Travel to comm sites may be required; you will operate in a safety-conscious mining environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in IT or related field.
• Experience in IT support/operations with strong customer service mindset.
• Solid skills with Windows client/Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, GPO, and endpoint management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for North America Service Desk and resolve incidents for Windows 11/Server, O365, VPN, and core apps.
• Administer Windows Server/AD, DNS/DHCP, GPO, and patching; monitor backups and recovery procedures.
• Operate Nutanix-based clusters and site NAS/SAN; coordinate upgrades with vendors.
• Maintain campus/industrial Ethernet switching, VLANs, QoS, and fiber plant documentation.
• Support OT/industrial networks connectivity and change management while protecting uptime.
