Job summary

Timken in Mascot, TN is seeking an IT technical leader to provide advanced site technology support and lead small projects. You will resolve complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive standardization with site and corporate teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, documentation, and collaboration across operations, IT, and vendors to maintain stability and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with two to four years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II support for complex incidents involving PCs, Microsoft 365, RF devices, printers, labeling systems, etc.
• Investigate and resolve issues involving operating systems, applications, networks, and hardware interactions.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure complete and accurate ticket documentation, change records, and knowledge transfer.
• Administer AD, Group Policy, SCCM deployments, print services, and endpoint management.
• Coordinate escalations with infrastructure and network teams.
• Lead small technology projects from planning through closure.
• Drive standardization to reduce downtime and improve first-time-fix rates.
• Create and maintain site runbooks and technical procedures.
